Workplace Charging Scheme

The Workplace Charging Scheme (WCS) is a UK Government grant designed to help businesses, charities, and public sector organisations reduce the cost of installing electric vehicle (EV) chargepoints at their premises.

The scheme provides financial support towards the purchase and installation of approved EV chargers, making it easier for organisations to offer workplace charging for staff and fleet vehicles while preparing for the transition to electric vehicles.

What Will OJF Do?

OJF Electrical will manage the entire process, from initial assessment to final handover. We will assess your electrical capacity, design a compliant EV charging installation, and supply and install OZEV-approved chargepoints.

All chargers will be fully installed, commissioned, tested, and certified in line with current regulations. Where applicable, we will also guide you through the Workplace Charging Scheme process to ensure your installation is grant-compliant.

Workplace Charging Scheme – Eligibility

The applicant must be a business, charity, or public sector organisation
The site must have off-street parking for staff or fleet vehicles
Chargers must be installed at a workplace location (not private homes)
Installation must be completed by an OZEV-approved installer
Chargepoints must be OZEV-approved models
Funding is available for a limited number of chargepoints per site
The grant must be approved before installation
