Terms & Conditions
Variations
Any variations / additional work requested outside of the agreed quotation will be treated as extra and charged accordingly.
OJF Electrical & Renewables will always confirm these costs in writing before proceeding.
Payment
If a deposit has been requested on the quotation, engineers will not arrive on site until this payment has been made.
Payment terms are strictly payment upon receipt of the invoice.
All certificates will be issued following payment in full.
Payment is to be made via bank transfer, or ‘Stripe’ unless otherwise agreed by both parties.
VAT will be charged at the current rate on eligible works.
Warranty
1-year warranty is provided (from sign-off date) on all labour and materials.
Further warranties provided by the manufacturer will be passed onto the client.
A signature will be required to confirm acceptance of the work and commencement of the 1-year warranty.
Existing Circuits
Existing circuits and installs must be deemed adequate by OJF Electrical Ltd before work starts.
If the circuit or install is deemed unsafe, immediate advice will be given and this must be rectified
before work is started – this will be at an additional cost.
If you do not wish for these remedial works to be undertaken to ensure safety of the supply,
we will not continue with the planned works and you will be charged by OJF Electrical Ltd
for works/time carried out.
OJF will not be liable for any electrical works that have been undertaken by another contractor or person.
Please note that any access holes made during the wiring process are not the responsibility of OJF to repair or restore.
It is the client’s responsibility to remove any possessions from the work area before work begins.
OJF will not be responsible for moving any items.
Materials are fully owned by OJF Electrical Ltd until invoice is paid in full.
Asbestos
If asbestos or any other hazardous material is discovered that affects the works,
OJF will suspend work until such time that the hazardous material is made safe or removed.
Working Hours
Normal working hours are 8am – 4pm, Monday – Friday unless both parties agree prior to work commencing.
Out of these hours will be charged at a higher rate.
Quotations
Quotes given are estimates and not fixed.
Prices may increase if additional works occur when arrived on site, and the customer will be informed.
Quotes are valid for 30 days.
Working Areas
Please ensure that all work areas are kept clear for the engineers.
It is the client’s responsibility to ensure authorisation is gained from the building owner
prior to any work being carried out.
