Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR)

An EICR (also known as a landlord electrical safety certificate) is a formal inspection and test of a property’s electrical installation to identify any safety risks.

Regular testing is essential, regardless of the age of your fuse board, as faulty wiring is a leading cause of electrical fires in the UK.

Landlords of domestic and commercial properties are legally required to have an EICR carried out every 5 years or at a change of tenancy. Failure to comply, including completing any
required remedial works, could result in fines of up to £30,000.
